Improv Noir

Dieses Mal habe ich ein kurzes Experiment gemacht. Ich wollte einen Comic im klassischen Noir Style produzieren. Das Setting hatte ich mir selber gesetzt: Ein Comic mit einer Noir Atmosphäre mit einem weiblichen Hauptdarsteller. Das war alles, was ich mir in Sachen Vorbereitung gesetzt habe. Ich habe kein Skript oder ähnliches vorbereitet. Ich wollte die Stimmung der Protagonistin so gut wie möglich einfangen und zu papier bringen. Wer ist sie? Was hat sie für eine Geschichte? Warum ist ausgerechnet sie die Protagonistin der Geschichte?
Die Geschichte habe ich während des Zeichnens überlegt und direkt umgesetzt. Darum geht es in der Kunst ja in erster Linie: Es geht nicht darum, etwas zu planen, sondern um das Gefühl, das man beim Herstellen der Kunst spürt und möglichst ebenfalls einfängt.

This week I made an experiment: I wanted to create a comic in the classic "Film Noir" style. The setting was very clear: A comic with a noir atmosphere and a female protagonist. But that was all. I did not make a script or someting like that. I wanted to feel the mood of the protagonist sitting in a bar in Hollywood. Who is she? What did she do? Why is she the protagonist of this story?
I made the whole story up while I was drawing. That is what art is about: It's not about planning, it's about the feeling you have while you are working on it.
